Wellness Coaching

Wellness Coaching can be helpful if:
- Would you like to feel better, have more vitality?
- Do you want to stop smoking or make healthier lifestyle choices?
- Or attain a weight or relaxation goal?
Lifestyle has been found to be the single most important factor in determining our pattern of overall health. Wellness is not the mere absence of disease but instead a pro-active, often preventive approach whereby you become more aware of and responsible for your choices.
In today’s fast-paced society, we are inundated with information about health and wellness. It can be beneficial to have help sorting through this wealth of information.
Within the partnership of wellness coaching, we will focus on your individual needs and work within the reality of your day-to-day challenges. I will encourage you to make behavioral changes that can be maintained over time, empowering you to feel your best by taking responsibility for your own health.
Wellness coaching is generally time-limited in nature and we will be working on a set of goals generally for a period of 3-6 months. Some people work for a longer period of time on additional goals.
My wellness coaching practice is informed by knowledge and research from the field of Positive Psychology and from evidence-based wellness resources.
Coaching sessions may be in person or by phone or Skype. Sessions are typically once per week for an hour. Thirty minute and bi-weekly sessions can also be arranged. Coaching discount packages are available for 3 and 6 month programs.
When possible, wellness groups are also offered so please inquire if this is of interest to you.
Wellness coaching is not medical, mental health or any other type of healthcare service. It is not psychotherapy or mental health counseling. No diagnosis or treatment of, or advice regarding any medical or mental health condition or illness will be offered.
Coaching cannot substitute for, and is not an alternative to, medical or other healthcare diagnosis and treatment when a medical or mental health condition or illness is present.
